Ronald Dean Doctorman, age 91, of Ullin, Illinois passed away at 5:41 P.M. Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the Illinois Veterans Home in Anna, Illinois.
Dean was born December 11, 1932 in Christopher, Illinois.
He graduated from the Christopher High School. Dean was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Alaska. He was a lifelong farmer of livestock and grain. Dean was an avid outdoorsman and was the owner-operator of Doctormans Cache Core Hunting Preserve for over 30 years. He was an avid collector of double barrel shotguns and had acquired a large collection over the years. He sponsored the National Wild Turkey Federation and Quail Unlimited organizations for many years. Dean had also served on the Pulaski County Tourism Board for several years.
Dean is survived by two sons, Chris Doctorman of Ullin, Illinois, Craig (Loretta) Doctorman of Ullin, Illinois; one daughter, Kelly Klosterhoff of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; six grandchildren, Lauren Reams of Ullin, Illinois, Ryan (Katie) Doctorman of Ullin, Illinois, Taylor (Sebastian) Godinez of Ullin, Illinois, Dustin Klosterhoff of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Dillon (Amanda) Klosterhoff of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Hope (Matt) Lang of Anna, Illinois; fourteen great-grandchildren, Laney Reams, Lexie Doctorman, Cash Doctorman, Ryder Doctorman, Maddox Godinez, Bexley Godinez, Mason Klosterhoff, Martin Klosterhoff, Mariah McTurnan, Stella Klosterhoff, Mathew Lang, Tinsley Lang, Lena Lang and Lenny Lang.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Greenwood Doctorman (2021), parents, Owen and Ruby Willis Doctorman; two sisters, Dorothy Crnokrak and Shirley Gersbacher; one brother, Bill Doctorman.
Visitation honoring the life of Mr. Ronald Dean Doctorman will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak, Illinois.
Inurnment will be private.
