Vernon L Henry, age 89, of Cypress, Illinois passed away at 10 P.M. Friday, September 11, 2026 at his home.
Vernon was born July 17, 1937 in Cypress , Illinois.
He was a graduate of Karnak High School. Vernon and Carolyn Irwin Henry were united in marriage in 1998. He had retired from the Vulcan Rock Quarry in Whitehill after 35 years of service. In his spare time Vernon enjoyed carpentry.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn; daughter, Valerie Daniels of Cypress, three stepchildren, Tammy Jackmond of Pennsylvania, Terrisa Holt of Kentucky and Timothy Hatton of Cypress; sister, Velma Warren of Washington.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Kattie Eastwood Henry; grandson, Alex Daniels and twelve brothers and sisters
Graveside services honoring the life of Mr. Vernon L. Henry will be held at 1 P.M. Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at the Cypress Cemetery. Rev. Gerell Cain will be officiating. Those attending have been asked to gather at the cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak.
