Lori Campbell

Lori Campbell, age 64, of Grand Chain, went to rest with the saints and angels on Friday evening, September 4, 2026.
She was born Lorelei Linden Johanna Mius on August 30, 1962, in Harvard, Illinois.

Lori, a career accountant, attended Harvard High School, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Columbia College, and a Master’s Degree from Keller Graduate School of Management. She retired from Boeing in 2024. A lifelong, die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, she was thrilled when the Cubs won the World Series in 2016. In her spare time, Lori enjoyed gardening, crafting, baking, and caring for all the animals on the farm. However, her greatest joy was doting on her four grandchildren. Sweet, kind-hearted, and loving, Lori spread joy wherever she went. Her fascination with weather led her to become a certified storm spotter. A devout Christian, Lori was also an active member of Ohio Chapel Church in Grand Chain.

Lori is survived by her husband, Mark Campbell of Grand Chain; daughter, Amy (Robert) Barthell of Fancy Farm, Kentucky; son, Jeremy (Amber) Benson of Harvard, Illinois; two sisters, Alice (Bill) Turney of San Jose, California, and Janet (Joseph) Winkles of Phenix City, Alabama; and four grandchildren: Dominic Barthell, Ava Benson, Blaire Benson, and Everett Benson.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Marguerite (Morgan) Mius; three sisters, Patricia Schevikhoven, Charlotte Duncan, and Sarah Foster; and one brother, Chris Jackson.

Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Lori Campbell will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Ohio Chapel Church near Grand Chain, with Pastor Tammy Horn officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the service hour. Interment will follow at Ohio Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dominic Barthell, Noah Zwerenz, Robert Barthell, Ronald Campbell, Jimmy Campbell, and Everett Benson.

Remembrance flowers are welcome, and donations to your local animal shelter would honor Lori’s love for animals and reflect the joy she found in helping them.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak.
